A Handsome Piece of Jewelry

Sixteen years ago I bought an earlier version of this Seiko watch at an outlet store, and paid just a few dollars less for that "scratch and dent" iteration than I just paid for this brand-new timepiece from Ashford. Over the years I've marveled at the enduring beauty and reliability of that earlier purchase--the gold hasn't worn away anywhere, and the stainless steel is still rust-free. (I bought the new one to get the watch face I originally wanted, but both will see plenty of use.) The watches are essentially identical, which for me means that I can continue to take pleasure in the classical restraint of the design.
