Best you can get to a Rolex Under $300

This is the best you are going to get to a Rolex Submariner under $300.00. I also purchased and returned the Orient Homage model 2ER00004D to the Submariner. The Orient was no way near the quality of the Invicta 9938. Keep in mind the Orient was purchased for $110.00 compared to the $275.00 that I paid for the Invicta 9938. This is a comparison of the Invicta 9938 and the Orient because I have owned both. And have only held and looked at a real Rolex Submariner at a Pawn shop used for $5,200.00.
• Weight of the Invicta is very close to that of the Rolex, Orient felt much lighter (mostly the band)
• Invicta Swiss 26 jewel movement is more fluid (8 beats per second) than the 21 J. Japanese movement (6 BPS) of the Orient.
• Heavier, more polished solid band of the Invicta, Orient size/felt like a 5 dollar WALMART band. (I am not exaggerating the band was very poor.)
• Purplish-Blue face of the Invicta, more closely matches the Rolex than the Blue face of the Orient, (More of a Preference than a Con.) I know it has changed over the years.
• So far the Invicta movement is 2-3 minutes fast per/day (will slow down over the next few months to a year). Orient movement was within a minute.
• Flame-fusion crystal is not Sapphire, but far better than the mineral crystal of the Orient.
• Cyclops date magnifier is about 2X on the Invicta but about 1.5X on the Orient, while a Rolex is 2.5X.
* Keymark on the Bezel is slightly off center on the Invicta while proper on the Orient. (See Ashford.com photos)
The High quality polish of the Invicta and the heavy solid quality band was my reason for keeping the Invicta and returning the Orient. I have already been asked “is that a Rolex” when wearing the Invicta.
Hope this helps in deciding what watch is best for you that does not cost as much as a used Honda Civic.

The Invicta 9938C is a true masterpiece in construction and a fantastic value. If you are or have been looking at a Rolex Sub Mariner but did not want to pay the exorbitant price, then look no further. The appearance of this watch is simply stunning and you will receive many, many compliments. The solid stainless steel case and stainless steel band are in every way as good or better then its counterpart. The swiss movement sweeps effortlessly around the dial and keeps perfect time. The band clasping mechanism is actually more robust than the one found on the rolex sub mariner. Do not hesitate to purchase this fine watch. It would be a great value at 3 times the price!!!!
